My Morning Routine

My Morning Routine

I wanted to test my GoPro Hero 5 Session’s abilities.
Dark, indoor, overexposed, outdoor, motion.
I pretty much put the little camera through its paces. I think I tried everything, you can see where it held up well, and where the footage fell apart.
Overall I fell it was a decent test and a look at what we do every morning.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.

What my camera saw.

It has been 5 months.

5 months since the island of Puerto Rico was ravished by Hurricane Maria. I went to Puerto Rico at the end of January just to put my eyes on the devastation that the people experienced.  Lots of work needs to be done, but I want to share some of what I saw, and a little taste of what my camera saw.

Check out my article on Medium to read what I wrote a few weeks back.

Animated some photos

I always say in my trainings that motion is the future. What do you do if you only have photos? How do you solve this issue? You animate some selected still photos so they have motion in them. An easy way to add some eye-catching movement to your photos.

Here are a few animated gifs from photos that I created:

I especially love the first one from Mar Chiquita in Manati, Puerto Rico. All were captured in Puerto Rico 2018 and created on my iPad.

New Video from Puerto Rico

What have I been doing recently? Well I traveled to Puerto Rico to see how things are with my own eyes.

I captured tons of content. Which is visable on my two Instagram accounts @giovanni_arroyo_photography and @gdotarroyo.

I also took my 3DR Solo with me and captured aerial video. The first of which I am sharing above. You will be able to check out more on my Youtube Channel.

All photos and video were captured with my travel trifecta: Fuji XE-1, GoPro Hero 4 Silver or iPhone 7 Plus.

Don’t you want to visit Puerto Rico? There is a lot more to our island than just Old San Juan.

Parkwood Elementary Cares!

This past weekend we packaged boxes for Puerto Rico and Mexico. I captured and edited a short video showing all of us at the elementary working on putting the donations into large flat rate boxes so we can ship them.

Shipping over 50 boxes will be expensive. While Parkwood has raised some fund, they still need more to ship the packages. This amazing community has stepped up and donated the goods, can you help by paying for one box to be shipped?

Contact me [email protected] to be part of the solution and send funds electronically via PayPal. Please make sure you make a note that it is for Parkwood Elementary. I will make sure it goes directly to the Principal. read more

Premier Pro + GoPro

This past weekend our family visited the Kalahari Resort located in the Wisconsin Dells. I only took my GoPro, initially thinking I was going to capture a bunch of video. At the last minute, I decided to just sit back and enjoy myself and not worry about shot lists and capturing footage. I also didn’t think I would put together a video.

Well, the girls did capture GoPro footage, and I ended up putting together this short video:

What do you think? I don’t think it is too bad considering the girls captured the majority of the footage. read more

How can I help???

*UPDATE* My daughter wanted to help the town of Aguadilla. She has set up an online donation portal so that she can buy Lifestraws. This will help the community have safe water the next time a disaster hits.

Now on to my original post:

Proud of how my girl is thinking about the community we lived in most recently this past summer.

I know this isn’t much. I’m not rich, but I wanted to figure out how to help my family in Puerto Rico. My photography is one small way! read more
